Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance isn't fun, at all.
Oh Canada. Oh Canada -_-
Without it sounding like Canadian-hatred from you, Godofboobees. I'm only wondering, why the fuck 'canada.com' would be reviewing games....who the fuck is qualifying these random people? It's like when Wall St Journal begun reviewing games, or fucking, YAHOO....It's like....Why?......
Odd... I'm having a blast with this game. Strange how this article is tittled like its a general fact and not a personal opinion.
That dude is a douche bag, he went to Gamefaqs at one point just to promote this crappy website with a crappy preview. I was nice to him then, I was not expecting him to do the review or even do a review because it was obvious from the get go that he couldn't play games worth a damn.
Wow this guy is very bad at the game. In the Blade Wolf fight he just gets owned because he didn't bother to learn how to play the game.
Agreed the Blade wolf is actually very easy to me
Lol. "Rising also has a very intricate perry system". Perry...system. "Due to my inexperience with the genre, I just couldn’t get the hang of it and played through the game on easy with perry assist enabled." "Hack-and-slash action titles generally aren’t my genre, but I have spent time with the first two Ninja Gaiden titles, and did actually have quite a bit of fun with them. With Revengeance, I literally had to force myself to play the game." "...aren't my genre..." Truly, this is a review that is well written, unbiased, and 100% credible. If only all reviewers could be as thorough and as eloquent as this one.
What is wrong with you guys?? I love this game's Katy Perry system
I thought it was the Matthew Perry system :0
I wonder what the author thinks of DmC.
10/10, game of the year, all years.
actually i think the exact oposite!
If you do not like Technical action games, you probably won't like Rising. It was not particularly designed with casual players in mind - which of course does not affect those who are more seasoned gamers. The game is excellent for any fan of action games. It can be challenging on higher difficulties and the parry system is extremely fun and satisfying once your timing has become solid, which takes practice. Same goes for using Blade Mode in certain boss fights on higher difficulties. It is a great action game and one I'd recommend to anyone who likes action titles that are on the technical side. The Very Hard and Revengeance difficulty settings add replayability as many of the enemy encounters are dramatically altered to make the game more varied and brutal on harder settings. The only real complaints I'd hold against the title are the lacklustre narrative, frequency of codec-loading screens and difficulties with the camera
The game is fun, but the last boss isnt. I just didnt want to go through with it, so i looked up the last 45 minutes of the game on youtube.
Of course it's not fun. It's a repetitive walk in the park for 5 hours with a cutting gimmick that gets stale by the 3rd level.
Ohh Stephen Abootman. *southpark humor*
I regret renting this game because....I should of bought it since its that much fun to play.. The game doesnt feel like a typical hack and slash game, it feels unique. If this game isnt for you then thats cool but dont trash it by saying it aint fun, its one of the best hack&slash games Ive ever played.
Nothing like a review where they start off they don't like that type of game. So nothing to see here everyone. How about getting someone who likes the type of game to review it? This is a big problem with reviews. I liked the demo but I didn't buy the game. Maybe I will later on sale. I hate reviews like this one though.
The game was awesome. After watching the video, I've come to the conclusion that the guy just sucks at the game and didn't take the time to learn how to properly play it. Parry-assist while on Easy? How he got as far as he did is beyond me... This wasn't much of a review. If you don't like the game, then fair enough, but don't try to make it seem it's a general fact that the game is bad or that it "...isn't fun, at all."
