Ten Games That Deserve Sequels

It feels like nearly every game that gets released these days is a sequel: Crysis 3, Resident Evil 6, Assassin’s Creed III, Halo 4, Call of Duty: Whatever Installment Releases This Year. A lack of sequels has never been a problem with the gaming industry. With that said, many games get overlooked, or, in the case of a few of the games on this list, some just never get a sequel despite solid sales. Here are ten video games that deserve the sequel treatment. (Brink, Limbo, PC, PS3, Rage, Vanquish, Xbox 360)

I agree on them, but Brink, maybe not..

I actually liked Brink although I admit I played it all during a Steam free weekend so didn't pay a dime. Its just that as it stood it was more of a rental IMO because although it looked and played well it just didn't seem worth a full retail price tag. I honestly don't remember too much about it other than I did enjoy it while playing.

Most other games on the list deserve a sequel more however and a ton of great games were also left out.

Vanquish and Rage definitely needs a sequel. Brutal Legend could redeem itself, if it did away with the RTS part of it. That felt tacked on as a feature in the game.

Rage? Was there even a worthy narrative that warrants a continuation of it?

In order for me 'want' to find out more, I would need to understand what the hell happened the first time.

As for Idtech, I wasn't impressed at all.

The whole reason Rage needs a sequel is so they can build on the original foundation. The gameplay was great, all the gadgets and ammo cool and locations were all fantastically designed that suited setting perfectly. The story (with your character) was pretty forgetful but a lot of the characters and little tidbits about the world and its inhabitants were what made the post apocalyptic setting so great.

If they cleaned up the narrative and just continued building on everything else it would be worth a sequel easy.

Heavenly Sword, with the first one remastered and trophies added on.I was close to the end but never did finish it.I found it hard at the end and unfortunately gave up on it.

VANQUIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISH!

Goddamnit the ending practically screamed 'sequel incoming' and two years on I still hold out hope that Platinum will give me my fix because I've played through it so many times now that it just isn't enough.
