So if you want to be at the top of the leaderboards you basically have to buy this for the permanent double XP boost. DBag move imo.

Im hoping that there is a catch somewhere for this because you're right, someone who is constantly getting 2x the XP will clearly jump on the leader boards

Gears games are never the type of mp games where high level players have better equipments and better perks than low level players.

Thats actually the one thing I like about Gears of Wars online

Uncharted 2 was like that, shame they messed up though for Uncharted 3

People should earn there weapons on the battlefield, not given to you. Everyone should start with the same weapons because then it's going to be about what guns/gimmicks you've unlocked instead of skill

I agree, I never even got my wings in GoW 3 but I was a decent player because I teamed with other people that worked as a team. It was the only real time I would play is when I was with others so I never found myself being taken too seriously because I didn't have purple wings, or whatever the highest is.

I just think some people really enjoy seeing their name on the top of the leader boards so it kind of puts those people at a disadvantage unless they get the season pass.

seriously, who cares about leaderboards....oh yeah, tryhards

Not really some people hunt acheivements/trophies, some people try to make it as high on leaderboards as possible. Just because you dont happen to care does not mean only "tryhards" happen to like that feature.

$20 bucks for six maps, thats COD type lame. Two game modes, which should ship with the game or be available to all game owners of this title. Plus throw away unlockables. I have purchased the other three games and enjoyed them as well as the season pass for Gears 3 because there was alot of content. I will probably get this game because I like Baird and Cole Train but no thanks to overpriced DLC on this one.
