SCEA Hires “Lead Media Agency” Carat as it Prepares for the Next Generation of Console Wars

Back in early February, we let you know that SCEA had dropped its creative ad agency Deutsch in favor of Bartle, Bogle, Hegarty New York, with us speculating this was all part of Sony’s transition into the next gen with the PS4. Now SCEA has also changed the company it partnered with for its media business.

Looks like Sony is gearing up for some serious marketing with the PS4.

It's almost as if they knew the PS3 was never going to come in #1 this gen, so they just chalked it up to a loss and instead started preparing to blow out next gen with the PS4. They seem to have the right machine, right marketing, right partnerships, etc.

I knew PSLS is on M$ payroll.
Same with Siliconera.
And the majority of gaming sites.
M$ influence is all over the place.

... but do not under estimate the power of the common people.

I think they're step up the dual marketing with the PS4 and Vita, with the emphasis on the PS4. This way they may hook a few Vita fans as well as PS3 fans.

As i've mentioned before, this new Media Agency is doing wonders for Sony and their marketing.

I've been seeing and hearing things ps4 related everywhere i go since their ps4 unveil.

Hopefully we get more live-action trailers for future games like Killzone: SF as we've seen for GoW: Ascension.

EDIT: I believe on N4G we ALL believed Sonys marketing sucked the entire PS3 life cycle.. Deutche had no clue what the hell they were doing.
You just need to have been on the internet in the run up to 2/20 to see just how well the new marketing company has been.
