Watch Dogs Is Built On A Brand New Engine Called 'Disrupt'

DSOGaming writes: "When Watch Dogs was first announced, a lot of people believed that the game was based on Assassin’s Creed engine, AnvilNext. It appears though that this is not the case, as Ubisoft has developed a brand new engine for it. According to Sebastien Viard, Technical Director on Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs is built on the Disrupt engine." (Next-Gen, PC, PS3, PS4, Watch Dogs, Wii U, Xbox 360)

The disrupt engine is probably based on the Anvil engine. The reason I say this is that the main character and the way his coat moves when he runs really reminds me of AC.

If the gameplay demo is anything to go buy, then color me impressed. Fluid, beautiful, and great physics (The part where he activates the street pins to stop the police car, sexy).
