Tomb Raider Review - AusGamers

AusGamers has reviewed Tomb Raider and writes:

"Tomb Raider reaffirms the importance and value of having strong, realistic female protagonists in games, while also successfully transposing much of what people loved about the original titles into an adventure that feels superbly modern. It’s a better Uncharted game than Uncharted 3 was, and goes a long way towards reminding us of the value of the Triple-A blockbuster in a market where smaller indie efforts have started to get so good that we need such reminders. This is an extremely impressive reboot, one that provides me with one of the most enjoyable and exciting adventures I’ve undertaken in quite some time..." (PC, PS3, Tomb Raider, Xbox 360) 9/10

I've been waiting for this one for a while now.
While it doesn't seem like the old Tomb Raider I know and love, it seems like a great game in it's own aspect.
Can't wait to give it a go.

Is it true the game is not an open world ?. i saw a map like far cry and thought it is..

I think from the stuff i saw on youtube the map is like a hub where you can fast travel to those places but i don't think you can just traverse across the map like far cry.
Different day/night cycles seemed to impact the places too

Thank you. So i wasn't wrong when i saw the map. I thought i'm either getting crazy or it was just a dream xD ..

Bought it on PC. Hopefully it lives up to the hype. Playing my free copy of guardian light and it kind feels like an arcade game lol

Can you post some photos of how the game looks on PC?
I'll be playing on PC myself.

You get extra content if you pre-order and if you wait, you will have to pay the full 50 if you get it on steam. Right now it is for 45 bucks from pre-order discount. You also get a free copy of guardian light. So it depends on what you want to do but if you private message me on release day, I can get you some screen shots at 1080p with maxed out settings.

After seeing that third video about the combat of Tomb Raider, I think it is much deeper than Uncharted's combat.

They keep comparing it with uncharted saying its unreal for her to become from helpless to gunsblazing. Well I have 1 question. Is nathan drake a marine? He handles guns quite easy. And how can sulley be able to climb walls at 70. And the reporter? Is she a gymnast? Some reviewers need to understand its a game we don't care if its real or not. No one talked about how drake got better in uncharted 2 after the icy train wreck with a gun wound in his stomach. I love uncharted but it has holes. Even dark knight rises has holes but is still an awesome movie

Why can't people just enjoy both games?. It's like talking to the wall. Both are games. Both have different story's and other things so why compare when you can play both?. -.-

People can't enjoy both games because "Tomb Raider" isn't a Tomb Raider game. So you can't have the best of both worlds. Instead you can only have the best of 1 world and mediocre time in one that tries to clone the other instead of sticking to its roots.
