Software running on actual PS4 hardware is what you mean. I have no doubt what we saw will be achieved but we know from the past how concept ideas at times don't materialize.
What I seen of the PS4 so far is excellent. They just have to find the right balance for pricing and what games will actually be available for launch.
Sony has created excitement while also leaving gamers wanting more. That's the best way to build hype. It also leaves the competition in the dark for the finer details while giving them a wake-up call that Sony is serious.
LOL ever since Nintendo launched the Wii U with a very poor library of games it has slipped off the minds of many gamers. But im pretty sure that at E3 Nintendo will do something to correct that by announcing the launch dates for many of those games that were shown during their last Wii U Nintendo direct.
after reading this article i can say that i am completely confident that Sony will rebound from their slump in the gaming industry and with the release of the PS4 coming up they wont make the same mistake as the Wii U by bringing out a glorified box that still didn't play DVDs and still didn't meet the expectations of next gen so they are at least 2 or 3 years behind Sony and Microsoft. so now like i keep saying Microsoft your next lets see what you have to bring to the next gen table.
I remember how hyped people were when Nintendo didn't actually show the Wii U console, they were all like....oh wait...people hated that Nintendo didn't show the actual console.
That was at E3 when they promised they would show the new console. This was a PlayStation Meeting about the PlayStation future, Sony never even mentioned the PS4 previously. Besides, it was just an announcement, a tease. You'll see the console at E3 at the final reveal. If by then Sony doesnt show the console then there's something wrong with them.
Microsoft Pr has never been very mature so Mayor Nelson's very childish response didnt surprise me neither did Aaron Greenburg's that guy is a giant tool. What did surprise me was the registration of xboxevent.com 1 day after the PS4 unveiling.
Jack Tretton has already said they could have filled the entire conference with just first/second party title's but shared the limelight with third party publishers and their games because they were excited for next gen as much as Sony.
Having Mark Cerny as lead ps4 engineer is a big plus. The man is renowned among developers. Plus he made Marble madness.
Sony wont reveal all. If they did so soon, no one would be interested in the PS4 till the next game event. You can see from all the negative and positive reactions to the PS4 that its working. They're keeping everyone attentive to the PS4. Very smart move indeed.
