Sony Computer Entertainment Japan published a new Gran Turismo 5: Prologue trailer and screenshots. Enjoy.
Snap. I'm gonna spend half my time in photomode! Really awesome
god, april cant come fast enough!
its almost disgusting of how real this game looks >_<
i have never seen a game with graphics like this
is this Unreal Engine 3 on steroids?
No its not that engine
The Unreal Engine isn't capable of realtime Global Illumination. Or anything else significantly difficult. Its a cheap turnkey engine that developers use to make generic games. Turok is a great example of this.
Power of Green used to argue with me Forza 2 and PGR4 looked better than this game. He hasn't commented on these articles for a few months now. Wonder why
I mean, it was good for a while. Sony really didn't put up for 07. (outside of the 10.5 million units *lol*) But as far as the social gamer scene goes, they didn't. PoG/TheMart/Snuka/Jason360/Bla destar/Bloodmask used to love pretending that Forza 2 looked better than GTHD, then GT5p, Then Silence. I know why though. The main reason is that you can see that in the past, they would call them BSshots that are in the "replay mode?". Because that would justify forza 2 looking better. I think it only took a view videos of the in game car with shadows/lighting/amazingly detailed interior to put all of that to rest. They still tried to harp on the damage note, but hey.. What can you do about that when Polyphony said they are working on it. The game looks photo realistic, or its the closest thing really on consoles. They had been repeating a mantra about sony for the entire year "Delaystation, No games, No graphics, No Sales" But yeah, my how time changes. GT5 proves what they all feared about the PS3. The fear of them choosing the wrong console. There is no way that you can look at GT5 and not be impressed. Even people who aren't into car games are shocked to find out that its a game. Its what sony meant when they said "Next Gen Doesn't Start Until We Say So" And it shows. Next Gen isn't going to be delivered by the Unreal Engine and dvd9. You can see that they are still actively commenting, just not in PS3 stories. I'm looking forward to it when one of them decides to. WIll they stick to their Forza2 guns? Or just pretend that Gears 2 is the only game that will be interesting in 08. I just hope that maybe some how all of them can finally just give the PS3 its props as a competitive game system, as well as developing stellar titles. WOnder if that will happen? Or will they keep using optimized multiplatform titles as the bar for graphical capabilities of the ps3?
GT5 will be even better and sell over 10 mln. =)
p.s. LoL @ hater who giving to everyone disagrees =))) looks like he can`t stand, that GT5P has awesome graphics. =)
This just looks absolutely amazing... I find it hard to believe that anyone can make a game which looks this good. It's just amazing, i'm really looking forward to seeing this game on my new 40" 1080p 100Hz LCD TV :D
It would be cool to display your trophies you when in races in home and Also they should have a feature in the game, that lets you take pictures anytime. So then I could upload them to my home and show off stuff.
Have to accept that this Prologue Series would still create a few criticisms for not having damage-mode.
Just one negative aspect of this teaser games really, but will be addressed once the Full Version GranTurismo 5 is unleashed early next 2009.
And hoping - fingers crossed - that rumors about the addition of weather physics is true as well.
This will just elevate the Full GT5 Version to mythical heights.
I'm still in hopes that they will be able to put damage simulation into the US release of GT5P. Personally I think that is the only way they can explain taking over 4 months to bring it here. No matter what though, I'll be picking up this game, too bad I will have to wait until mid may, stupid final exams...
Man i cant believe people are so uptight that they are commenting about people that arn't even posting. But anyways cant wait to play this.
