Will The PS4 Diminish PS Plus’ Value?

I suspect PS+ won't be a day 1 service on PS4 in regards to the Instant Game Collection. Just like Vita they'll wait until the library gets a bit bigger before giving you games for free*.

It would be awesome to pay one subscription and get PS+ on Vita PS3 and PS4......how could any one pass that up?

Well, right now it's one subscription for both PS3 and Vita. We really don't know about PS4 because we know so little about PS4, lol.

Yup, thats why I've been saying that there will be a $100 PS Plus Plus that covers all three platforms. Even at $100, its still an INCREDIBLE deal.

Was confirmed in the PS Blog that it will be one subscription for all. Now could they increase the price or have something else for Gaikai who knows.

i hope that Sony goes the way of keeping the price at a reasonable price for all PS+ services and not do what Microsoft did and charging for separate services cause that would be bad for business

I feel that PS+ for PS3 will stay what it is and you will continue to get the same benefits you get now. PS4's PS+ will be something new and focused on the PS4 and new integrated features.

That way they will have two services making money and it'll be the consumers choice whether or not they keep both or move on to the PS4. Since the Vita works with both systems it should be able to work with either.

People that upgraded to PS4 without having a PS3 anymore, PS+ will be usless. the only way they can take advantage of free PS3 games is keeping their PS3.

That's my point exactly. The PS3's PS+ will continue to run as a service as long as they continue to support the PS3, but i'm sure Sony will have a whole new and different subscription service for the PS4.

They are a company and out to make money just like Apple or anyone else. Microsoft will probably do the same and have two different services, but then the argument will change to who will drop last-gen support first.

Microsoft might start charging the owner a dollar for everytime they turn their machine on, and a dollar for everyday it is left on.

Microsoft is essentially all to blame for the extra charge of using your own internet again. EA jumped on board and now online gaming is becoming destroyed by it. What was once free, is now becoming a money maker. Microsoft is to blame and they will no doubt ruin something else.

How is it possible that they collect revenues from advertisers, then force a paying customer to see the advertisements? Microsoft is the king of double dipping, penny squeezing disgustingness.

I think the Gaikai service will have some great benefit from having PS+. It will likely Not be required, but I'm willing to bet a great sum that having PS+ will be a smart thing to do.

if you cant play any free or discounted ps3 games on the ps4 that you were supposed to be able to keep for life than yes the value is greatly dimished.
