Sony's big PlayStation 4 announcement came as no real surprise for industry analysts and PlayStation fanboys. However, the event also gave us a rare peek into Sony's vision of the future, and there were plenty of surprises behind that curtain.
Games should validate the Vita, not another system.
Agreed. The damn Vita should validate itself. Enough with the PSP games... Start releasing your own rpgs. I'm angry guy.
i bought it the same night as the sony show. Funny thing is I cant seem to download any games to it. My account already has two PSP's and a PS3 activated and it wont let me activate the Vita without deactivating a PSP. I dont really want to do that as both have games that are enjoyed by my kids. I wish sony would lift the limit on the number of devices you can have activated. I signed up for PS+ yesterday and DAMN i cant get any of that vita content on my system. Anyone got any ideas??? Can i plug the vita into the PS3 to transfer and play or would i still run into the activation issue???
@darth you will need to deactivate a psp to get the games on your vita.
@Darth: Sony decreased the number of activated systems in 2011. I found myself in the same situation you now find yourself in. Basically you have to deactivate. Although the change to their activation policy annoyed me it was how they classed anyone as a pirate who'd need more than 2 activated systems.
They will. Vita gets to play Vita games, PSN, and PS4 games via the PS4 and the Vita acting as just the monitor with controls.
Not gonna lie I love the games it has right now, but the ability to play PS4 games away from my PS4 but still in my home still excites me. It's just another reason to get one.
Same here I'm a dad so it's hard to game so the Vita was already helping out a lot with that. Now that the Vita will remote play ps4 games I'll be able to play what I want when I want.
I'd be wary of that though. We're supposed to be able to do that already with our PS3s, but they've only managed it for like 20 games.
You'll have every game from the ps1-3 and probably 4 that's kind of a big deal.
I'm hoping they'll come out with a 4G model. Just imagine the PS4 and 4G Vita working together... Mwahahahaha!
Or you could use a 4g hotspot from your phone on wifi vita like me ;)
Actually the vita validates the vita.
The only way the PS4 "validates" the Vita, is if the Vita is bundled in with every PS4 sold.
It's going to be interesting. Sony still needs way more Vita support. PS3 is easily supported for the rest of the year. We'll hear more on PS4 and what we have heard makes have more new content on the horizon than Vita due to third party support. I want ten new games announced at E3(or between now and E3) that are not little downloadable titles but full retail titles for Vita. I would take Madden 25 at this point
Sony needs to get 3rd party support for the Vita in Japan.
The Vita needs a price cut in the states, different colors, bundle it with bigger memory cards + 3 months worth of plus
I think they should make a bundle of the vita and ps4
Holy crap that bundle will be expensive.
Better than buying them seperate
The vita validates itself. Ps4 connectivity and gaikai cloud streaming only sweetens the validation station.
