Amazon-Exclusive PS3 Family Entertainment Bundle Price Dropped to $249.99

While the PS4 is still plenty a ways off, now might be the perfect time to buy into the PlayStation 3 if you haven’t already.

- PSLS (PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, PS3, Ratchet And Clank HD Collection)

I wonder when we'll see a PS3 price drop? They'd be smart to do it now, and sell as many as they can before the PS4 launches.

I've put off on the PS3 up until now. Was going to grab one Black Friday when they were having great deals on them, but I wanted to wait and see how backwards compatibility would be handled with the PS4.

A price drop sometime this year would be a nice thing for me.

I'm surprised they didn't announce a price drop at the event. I thought I heard rumors of a price drop but then it didn't materialize on stage.

They have to do it soon. I am personally without a PS3. As all my games are on PS3 as I was going to get another one this month. I was going to get the Crystal White version by the last week of February / 1st week of March. Now, that PS4 is around the corner I have to stop to reconsider.

I can't afford to spend $300 on a PS3 in March only to have the PS4 release for $400 in September. So what is the best thing to do?

Well, the smart thing to do is to hold on to my money and wait.

If the PS3 cost a smaller amount of money say, $200, then I could risk it, or even eat it. But I don't know that that will happen.

If the PS4 was going to cost $600 or $700, I would know that I couldn't buy one at release and then go ahead and buy a PS3 now. But I don't know if that will be the case either.

The PS3 should have a price cut, but I don't know when or how much it will be. The PS4 will release this year, but I don't know what month it will release or how much it will cost, or if I will truly lose the ability to play all of my PS3 games. Right now, it is impossible to make a good decision; so I keep my money in my pocket until I have more information.

not until they shrink the CPU, because it seems that the superslim has the same silicon as previous slims

Looks like the perfect bundle for a family looking for a bluray player while they're at it.

Thats a good package. But i do wish they would just lower the price of the system instead of adding in extras so you can pick what you want. If you subtract the games and remote its like $130.00 for the sytem. $59.99 game, $40.00 collection game, and $20.00 blu-ray remote.

All Stars is only $40 now so it would equal $170. I'd say that'd be a good price drop for it. Not quite $100 but better than $50 and it puts it at the sweet spot for pricing.
