Nintendo recently declared 2013 the year of Luigi. Is this an accurate statement?
I like Luigi Its always about Mario,
I think I'd be more likely to buy if it WAS Luigi Golf
Luigi Golf just wouldn't sell as well. It's not really the year of Luigi but it's nice that he is in a decent amount of games as a playable character or featured in the story somehow. It allows them to get some Nintendo Mario type of games out while they make the Main Mario games.
Nope. It's the Ear of Luigi. Joking aside, do you think they are coming with more Luigi games yet to be announced? I don't think a couple of DLC packs and a few Luigi games make it the entire year of Luigi?
hard to say. They might be coming out with more games featuring Luigi. I doubt they will be coming out with more Luigi-starring games. Would shock me if more games starring Luigi came out
Yeah not really when Iwata was like 2013 will be "The Year of Luigi" I was like hmm Luigi staring in more games? That seem's interesting, but Luigi is staring in two games also just a playable character in Mario Golf and DLC for New Super Mario Bros U. Dream Team look's great so does Dark Moon but if they want to call this the year of Luigi he should have more of his own games. It seem's so silly they should have just said it was the year of nintendo!
Finally, it took Nintendo 20+ years to give Luigi the spotlight! What makes Mario so special anyway?
I don't know. Maybe it's that the game he starred in revived the industry after the game crash of 83. Or that if you had an NES but not Mario something was wrong with you. Or maybe that if you haven't ever played Mario but there was a point when you easily could have, you're Hitler. Or maybe it's just cause he's awesome.
About time we get some Luigi love!!!!
Why did that meme ever even start. It was an obscure, not-Nintendo-published, educational, PC Mario game from the SNES era. I bet most people who liked it didn't know what it was from.
Super Luigi World 2D 16-bit stylized platformer with wacky gameplay options, out of place story, and trippy visual effects
Luigi needs his own 3d platformer. I'm tired of seeing him in Mario's shadow.
"Okay guys, everyone is getting tired of Mario games, what should we do?" "What about starting make Luigi games instead?" "Brilliant!"
"everyone is getting tired of Mario games" *sees the great sales for Mario games* Sorry. You are mostly incorrect. (Edit: You have some form of being correct with the NSMB series.) As a general rule, never use massive generalizations like "everyone" and "all." Instead, please speak for yourself. There are plenty who are excited for Mario because each game is not the same. It'd be different if each Mario game was of the same genre like all the FPS games people get so excited for, despite those FPS games actually being the ones that play the exact same.
Luigi? With all the PS4 buzz I didn't even notice the green plumber.
I don't think so, but Luigi Mansion looks awesome
LoL time for Luigi to shine!
I really do hope is the year of Luigi cause we been seeing too much of Mario
The only one I'm interested in is Mario & Luigi: Dream Team.
