That's pretty smart and a logical step given that many indie developers are flat out skipping home consoles to develop on iOS/Android.

It means Valve just got another boner for Sony.

yeah I was thinking the PS4 seems like something that Valve would love, but with the Steambox set to release would they support it ? Isn't the Steambox supposed to be competing with the next gen consoles ?

majiebeast1255d ago

Who knows maybe the ps4 can become a steambox? We really havent seen anything about the steambox except that way overpriced mini cube pc.

It's a great article, guys. You should all read it.

Sony is being very smart this generation. Basically building my dream console.

Microsofts gives me free tools a(visual studio) and lets me develop games for a 100$ yearly fee. Sony already lets me do something similar with their PS mobile push. Now all we need is a formal announcement that either one of them is going to push it even further next gen - and that's a big win for the industry.

"We believe in smaller developers. They are very creative and they go out of the norm to do something really amazing. So we really want to make it easier for them to come to our platform and publish"

Gotta love that mentality!
