Lighting Returns and Final Fantasy XIV: Which Title Are You Looking More Forward To?

GamerFitNation: Final Fantasy VS 13! I felt that was the best way to start this article off as most gamers have been hounding, clamoring, and just straight up arguing with Square Enix for them to release a game that has been in development for almost a decade. Although it’s more or less been 9 to 10 years that versus has been known to the public. Gamers can’t help but want the game’s release sooner, rather than later. However we have been waiting for what seems like forever and within this time period two Final Fantasy 13 games have released. Now, we might even see Final Fantasy XIV and a third title in Lighting’s story in the near future. This begs me to ask the question which titles are you looking most forward to?

If I HAD to choose, it would have to be FFXIV. I have a lot of friends on PSN who are into coop elements (coming from WKC) of games, so this game will be like an orgy for us.

With MMO, it's always the subscription fees. I'm paying, but 2 out of 4 of my friends stopped playing since they didn't had enough time to play during this month, and vice versa.

I don't mind online friends only, but getting setup "like a LAN" with friends in my living room, playing some coop greatness together, just awesome!

and yes, WKC was awesome! bought the game twice, one for me and the other one for one of my friend that was skeptical about the game. He changed his opinion right after playing!

"Lighting" Returns?

I think both of these titles will be solid but will not overwhelm me withe excitement. Personally, I am more excited for Final Fantasy XIV because I never played Final Fantasy XI. A FF game as an MMO sounds interesting to me and if they get it right, it could be great.

With PS4 right around the corner I think it's safe to say that Versus will not be coming anytime soon. In fact I wouldn't doubt that Square scrapped it and maybe even started from scratch so it can be produced for the new systems.

On topic, I'm ready for Lightning Returns. I was one of the few that did like FF-13:2. It had it's problems and my complaints but it was definitely a step up from 13.

Never played MMO before so subscription model is unthinkable for me.First I pay for the game and then pay every month just to play it...leave that to PCs,that's DoA on consoles.

I'm getting a bit tired of seeing Lightning all the time.

Yea your good. Nice article but given the public outcry about the lightning series I don't see that many people clamoring for another sequel related to a character not many care for. Me personally wants a new kingdom hearts and a final fantasy game proper.

It's sad to see a lot of FF fans didn't play Final Fantasy XI.

According to Tanaka:

"Final Fantasy XI is the most representative title of the Final Fantasy series"

And I agree. It's not my favorite Final Fantasy, but the game has a lot of FF elements. FF XI Chains of Promathia has one of the best stories of the entire series.

So I can't wait for FF XIV: A Realm Reborn. Naoki Yoshida is doing an amazing job.

I don't play mmo's and LRXIII doesn't have a party to recruit that's strike 1,if there's no summons that's strike 3 & I guess that'll be neither.

Lighting Returns I will probably get it, maybe not at launch.
