The Android-based Ouya or Sony’s new PlayStation 4?

galaxynoteapps: 2013 is certainly bound to be an interesting year for the gaming industry, given how new game consoles are bound in hit the retail markets by the third quarter of the year. (Ouya, PS4, Sony)

Tough call. Being alone on a deserted island with the Sports Illustrated swimsuit calendar models or Rosanne Barr? Decisions, decisions.

Kratos

Speaking of Kratos, God of War on PS4 would be phenomenal.

PS4 allows indie devs to self publish. Bye Bye OUYA nice knowing you you overpriced junk.
unicronic  +   551d ago
OUYA is hardly overpriced BUT they kinda shot themselves in the foot when they announced that each year would see a new OUYA hardware iteration. That was an instant no-no for me and no doubt a lot of other people too.

I read the title and went straight to the comment section, because I knew havoc was going to unleash. LOOL

Hmm a cheap 99$ that plays shitty phone games or a real console. Yeah im gonna go with the real console.
Qrphe  +   553d ago
The Ouya has a fraction of the power of the PS3, so no.

Besides, Android is not the most efficient of an OS.

Ouya of Course
Dude420  +   552d ago
What are you guys on about? This machine is only $100 which is significantly cheaper than tablets that sport about the same hardware (nVidia Tegra 3). It can also be used as a dev kit to make android based games.

It should also be worth noting that this ISN'T, I repeat, ISN'T in competition with next-gen consoles. So it obviously targets a different audience.

This is just stupid journalism, trying to spark a war that should be non-existent.

I'm going PS4, but that doesn't mean I am not against this Ouya thing.

This is actually a concern to me. Ive been gaming since atari was the go to home console. When the wii came out no "hardcore" gamers took it seriously but millions of people who never cared about gaming suddenly wanted to play games. I know a lot of people who dont own and never will own a traditional console but spend hours playing with their phones and tablets because gaming is now more accessible to them. Now I'm not saying the ouya will ever dethrone a major console but im sure they will find their niche and people will buy it because they want to play those same types of games but can't see themselves shelling out the money for a ps3 xbox, wii u steambox computer etc. Remember the wii!

The ouya is the answer for ps1 & previous gaming emulation on your tv with a controller. Other than that its your phone or a tablet in a square box without a screen.

Having said that though the one thing i wish my nexus 7 could do is play emulators on the big screen i already use it with my ps3 controller but i would love to be able to do that on my actual tv!

Both of them. Because i'm hacking the living shit out of ouya. While I play real awesome games, with my NEW PS4 clan.
Summons75  +   552d ago
Clearly ps4 because it has real games where ouya just has over pixilated cell phone apps tht didn't sell on cell phones either besides the elite few which are horribly designed.
darx  +   551d ago
Both for me

lol the oya of course at least that's next gen.
MRMagoo123  +   551d ago
why are you not banned ? what do you bring besides inane bs to a thread?, Im guessing the reason for all your hate is the fact sony are looking to be best again this year huh
Hicken  +   551d ago
He's not banned because the rules only apply when certain people want them to.
r21  +   551d ago
I'd probably get both seeing as PS4 is one hell of a console and Ouya is just cheap enough to buy.
