Arma 3 requires Valve's Steam to play

Bohemia Interactive has revealed that Valve’s Steam will be required to play Arma 3.

In a developer's blog post, Project Lead Joris-Jan van‘t Land explains that due to a difficult phase in the game's development, including the recent incident in Greece, the team was forced to re-evaluate the project, and saw that Steam was one step it needed to get Arma 3 back on track for release in 2013. (ArmA 3, PC)

Don't know why this would be a problem, Steam works really well.

Half of Bohemia's fanbase (the half that is filled with retards) are going apesh*t over the announcement while using funny and outdated arguments like; "What will I do if I don't have an internet connection?".

I'm glad that Bohemia chose Steam to distribute ARMA 3 and DayZ Standalone. Can't wait to get both games on day 1.

Yea, same thing happened with Egosoft's fanbase when X-Rebirth was was announced as a Steam-works title.

All these folks posting on the internet about not having internet. Strange.

That and apparently Steam requires the blood of your first born to activate a game, pretty scary stuff.

Great! It's better when the whole game will be on one platform like that. There would be less incompatibility when buying DLCs or addons later on (like when you bought the retail version but then there's a nicely discounted DLC on Steam).

I don't see how anyone could possibly have a problem with this.
