I wonder if people actually care about what this demo could mean, or if its just feeding a superiority complex.

But unreal demo is pretty swag, its kinda like Cryengine, but based around geometry and particles apposed to lighting and shaders. And honestly, this has never been done before, Particles have always been killer on performance, before you had to cut out particle physics, collision, lighting and a bunch of other cool stuff just deal with the fact that CPU technology just isnt up to the task of particles.
Now we can have particles on scale with things like this, without breaking the bank.

Also, no more low poly characters with normal maps, I cant tell you how excited i am for this, For a trained eye, this is a major boner kill for modern games, heck even the console Goliaths like uncharted and gears of war you can practically count the polygons in the characters.

Anyway, thats the main focuses of unreal engine 4, and i hope you guys can chill out, PC gamers dont give a crap if console gaming is more cost effective than PC and Console gamers generally dont care if PC is a more expensive premium experience as far as graphics.
The only person you are convincing is yourself, and no one cars about that either.
