There has been a change on the Phantom Pain website. This may only seem like a minor update but it is still enough to get all of the Metal Gear fans jumping up and trying to work out what it might mean.
So apart from something Final Fantasy related being very likely announced, it seems a MGS announcement is quite likely on the cards. Tomorrow is shaping up to be a hardcore gamers wet dream.
I just don't trust the actual TPP website, I'm thinking it's fake. I mean, what kinda teaser site runs giant google ads?
One that wants to make some money on the side :D Speaking of website updates. I just typed in us.playstation.com/ps4 and got a redirect to the main playstation page. Typically you get an error for a bad link, so they have a ps4 page... wonder if it will go live tomorrow. EDIT: Got around the redirect, it's just a blank page. Just a grey background... nothing on it. Could just be circumstantial. Still though it was interesting.
^^ LMAO welcome to the hype train, I did the same... It takes you to the main page featuring a giant Destiny image, maybe they'll release more details tomorrow. F*ck Christmas and 4,20... 2,20 is my new favorite day of the year.
Unless you really don't like MGS or FF games...
Or in other words 'GET OUT OF GAMING FOREVER'
Wet dream? Dude. I'm sitting in a puddle.
where did you hear something final fantasy related being announced? I hope its versus.
That's clearly an anagram but I'll be damned If I'm going to try and work it out.
In all likelihood. Did you notice this at the bottom? "The Neuromatrix effectuation and schemas of Phantom Pain are all presupposed by probative concepts and attestations. (Reingard., 1987)."
probably means Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are the same game, MGS5?
Phantom pain graphics dont look like ground zero. Ground zero is prequel that looks completely like a next gen game. MGS5 we have no clue what it looks like.
I'm not saying one is the other, but I completely disagree that the graphics don't look the same.
To me the engine absolutely feels the same as ground zero , don't let the burning horse/unicorn fool you .
Yeah, if you look, the Phantom Pain trailer has quite a few jaggies where you wouldn't think it would. Almost looks like a really good looking Vita game... Plus, the screenshots were in the Vita's resolution or something. I remember hearing about that.
If you guys look closely at the level of detail you would see that ground zero is on another level with graphics. Phantom pain got more of current gen feel to it.
I thought that Phantom Pain site was a fake that was created soon after the VGA unveiling.
Yep this seems fake.
maybe SOMETHING related to tomorrow PS4 announcement??
the update is just explained the meaning of "Phantom Pain".. why every news here are being associated with PS4 announcement?
because its written 2.20 at the end...
Man, MGS, Killzone 4, GT6 and i hope Final Fantasy Versus XIII announced tomorrow for PlayStation meeting. Awesome, awesome.
Sucker Punch have apparently been spotted as well.
..and Naughty Dog
If they announce all this stuff mentioned above this meeting will actually blow everyone's expectations away. We're all expecting the PS4, Killzone 4, a new Racing Sim, and maybe LBP 3. But if SE's involvement turns out to be Versus and not just a tech demo, Sucker Punch's new game gets announced, a new Naughty Dog game gets announced (which would seem unlikely as it would probably take a little bit of hype for the Last of Us away), and Phantom Pain appears Sony would surprise everyone.
I WANT THEM ALL IN MAH VEINS!!!! GT6, THE LAST GUARDIAN, KILLZONE 4, MGS5, SUCKER PUNCH GAME, FFVS13!!!! *faints*
I never buy consoles at launch but if they announce GT6 as a launch title I'll be all over it
I think not. I believe we will find Phantom Pain is MGS5 for the Vita and will tell the story of Liquid and Frank Jaeger.
Give me one good reason why mgs5 should be released on the vita. As a huge mgs fan and vita owner, I don't won't mgs5 on the vita.
I give you good reason from Sony's perspective - they have to release a killer app for Vita.
2/20 got to be a ps4 game
Day before the event. IT'S HEATING UP!
If it helps, "Lumin" has these meanings -Medical terms, it means light -Religious terms, its what holds our DNA together (I'm assuming) -Other terms, its the colors you are able to see and hear
There is "2.20" at the bottom of the picture... its gotta be for tomorrow's playstation meeting. Who knows? Maybe The Phantom Pain (MGS5) is going to be a launch title for next playstation. Anyone else got any theories?
PP+GZ=MGS 5 on PS4.
My god tomorrow will be the single biggest day that gaming had seen in quite some time. Should be one for the record books.
Haha this is just a complicated version of the definition of a phantom limb. Though I suppose the choice of words is probably significant. Translated: A Phantom pain is the accompanying pain felt by any conscious person in response to a missing limb or a transplanted limb. Possibly it's an investigation of how consciousness is tied to the phenomena of phantom limbs. Codicil is an interesting choice of word... I don't know if this is a medical definition, but a codicil is a kind of edited will. Maybe it's playing off of the idea of will itself and it's connection to consciousness and a phantom limb, not "A" will. A luminary is generally an important or visionary kind of person I think (Snake), but also refers to "celestial (Stuff in the sky) spheres" i.e. moons, the sun, and also refers to light or illumination in general.
Liquid Snake, MGS5, PS4, 2.20 believe
This is exactly what I'm hoping for!!!
GZ on PS4 yesss! Probably just announcing it will come to their system without actual footage but one can dream, right?!
Way to ruin Rising's thunder :P there is a reason why he is keeping the title and development team a secret :P
Anyone notice the words Pain/Lumin/portion are highlighted red ??
um if you would read that has already been pointed out you loco.
Proven fake on GAF hours ago.
