New Indie MMO Game, SAGA, Now Playable

Ripten writes:

Indie developer Silverlode Interactive accosted me outside the press room at GDC to show me their new MMORTS (Massively Multiplayer Online Real-Time Strategy) game, SAGA. The game looks interesting enough, and given the fact that it's essentially free, it very well may be worth your time. I checked out the beta yesterday, and I have to say that I have no idea what I'm doing. There seemed to be plenty of people who did, however, so maybe I just missed something.

Either way, SAGA has just entered open beta for the public, so you can give the game a shot for yourself. Full press release can be viewed at the site, as well as screenshots and a trailer. (PC, Saga)

Yeah. It is always good to see indi games trying to make a splash. Haven't heard of this game before though.

I just checked out the beta... very weird. I'm with that guy, I don't know exactly what was going on.

If this game is successful, do you think it would ever come to consoles? How good of a chance do indie developers have of breaking into the console world, where all the real money is?
