Telltale Games: The Perfect Host for Aliens

GamerSushi writes: "Some of our biggest science fiction games have all taken a great number of cues from Aliens, already emulating what captured our imagination about the original films. You could argue that Aliens is probably one of the most influential properties in modern gaming.

But what have Aliens games and other sci-fi games failed to capture about the franchise? The human drama. And one company in particular has shown they have the chops for that lately: Telltale." (Aliens: Colonial Marines, Industry, PC, PS3, Telltale Games, The Walking Dead - A Telltale Games Series, Xbox 360)

After The Walking Dead, I have no doubt about how well Telltale handles the human drama on games. Also, it's hard to do worst than Gearbox did.

After the f*ckup from turdbox i could use a proper Aliens game. Who better to deliver than Tell Tale.

They may have done a great job with Walking Dead, but they managed to mess up Jurassic Park.

This could go either way, but...cant be any worse than CM

i just dont know how telltale would do with more action oriented stuff...we dont need another jurassic park

valve, rocksteady, epic games....idk anyone besides gearbox would do a better job...even the people that made War Z!!!

Big ups for mentioning the Dark Horse comic series from the early 90's; it was amazing. I do feel fps is a great way to experience Aliens if done right, but It just doesn't mean you have to always have a finger on the trigger. Less shooting, more world creation and exploration.

I wish people would stop wishing these licenses on Telltale...

They need to do BttF Season Two and (maybe) a Star Wars game, first! *slams fist*

Bioware could make a decent aliens game. Whoever does it wants to focus on squad tactics and group survival like gearbox were going to do before they decided they didn't love aliens anywhere near as much as they said they did.

Make it PS4 exclusive & developed by Guerrilla Games....if not, Visceral would probably be a pretty darn good choice for obvious reasons.....and if it's not obvious to you, you obviously have some dead space, between your ears.

Are you kidding me? So hand off a title that is supposed to be intense and action packed to a developer that makes long drawn out stories, where reflexes and gaming skill come AFTER lengthy dialogue and drama? No thanks.

I like Tell Tale for the point and click reboots, not so much for the Jurassic Park and way overrated Walking Dead types. If you think they should make an Aliens game where while wielding a door shut, you have to listen to 5 minutes of a character monologuing their personal life story in a totally unrealistic fashion given the situation, then please just shoot me now.

There are FAR better options out there.
