Police car sliced up in the name of ‘Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’

It’s not often a PR stunt by a game company can be described as cool, but the one you see above by Platinum games and Konami France (these pictures were taken near the Seine River) is just that. Hideo Kojima has posted a series of pictures, found below, showing off a police car which has been sliced to pieces. In much the same way players can slice up the very same kind of car in Platinum’s latest. To make the point clearer, the car has Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Platinum Games logos on the side.

LOL!! These stunt cars can split in half. A lot of stunt shows use them.

What?? But it looks so real! FRAUDS!

Very cool!

2nd coolest I can think of was what Sega did with hedgehogs in Great Britain to promote Sonic "Colours."

sorry but to me that is stupid, with all the negative press gaming gets from main stream media the last thing you want to do is to put gaming with destroying a police cruiser.

Next Fox news is going to report that a cop was killed by a crazed gamer who hack up his car with him in it.

It doesn't matter what the gaming community does cause we will forever be a easy target to blame things on until the next easy target comes along.

The fact that we have to conform in a certain way to avoid scrutiny by the mainstream media is just ridiculous while the movie & music industries just does what they want. They should remember that this is a billion dollar industry and without us the economy will be in even more sh*t.

Because humnan lives are less important than the all mighty dollar. Right?

I bet you don't even eat sashimi.

Thats not even what i'm trying to say but rather all the hate from the mainstream is unfounded. The gaming industry is a unappreciated industry that contributes a lot yet when something bad happens its always the scapegoat.

FYI i just had sushi and sashimi on saturday :) but you can go ahead with your assumptions it doesn't bother me you are only human :)
