Review: Gioteck GC-2 PS3 Controller Review (darkzero)

"Third party controllers are often cheaper alternatives to official controllers, but there is a reason for that. I'm sure most people reading this will think of past experiences with these controllers and draw similar conclusions that include words such as “tacky,” “cheap feeling,” “not as good” and “it broke,” because most of them have been poor attempts to gain money from gamers. There is this myth that third party controllers cannot be good, but if you take time and figure out what gamers are finding wrong with official controllers, there is totally a market for it." (Gioteck GC-2, PS3, Tech) 8/10

Better than the Dualshock 3? Whoa... that's a big statement man.

Looks too small for that kind of design (even if dual shock is smaller, it's design goes well with it's size) plus the face buttons look like they are digital as opposed to analog. That's not good.

well i own both system and i always think xbox 360 controller to be far superior particularly when it comes to Driving and Shooting games.

The downside of the 360 controller is the nasty DPAD. Even though DPAD rarely gets used these days but its essential for fighting games. The L2 and R2 on PS3 is also nasty. What an awefull design. I hope they make it like the 360/wii u trigger button.

I remember the logitech wireless controllers for Xbox and PS2. I found those to be superior to the ones included with the systems. It is very possible for third party controllers to be as good or better than first party stuff. Just gotta have a manufacturer that's actually in touch with gamers and gives two craps about pushing quality over a lame attempt at getting the budget shopper's attention.

Looks hideous, sticks are in the wrong place, awful d-pad.
Just your typical third party controller.
