Five years ago, games.on.net visited Gearbox Software’s Dallas headquarters for the first reveal of Aliens: Colonial Marines. They saw what they were told was gameplay footage that promised an amazing realisation of the beloved Aliens universe.
It’s obvious now that the game shown to the press years ago and the one on store shelves now are two completely different things. One is the product of a passionate team being handed their dream project, complete with original scripts, artwork and sound archives.
The other is an abortion kicked out under duress by a company focused solely on its new main franchise. An embarrassment that should never have been released.

I mean somebody's head needs to role for this, if only to send a clear message to all pubs/devs that lying to and misleading your consumers is unacceptable.
I think Randy Pitchford should answer for this rubbish personally. I remember him saying this was going to be all the rage during the first gameplay trailer, and now we have this embarrassment? I won't even play it from the bargain bin.
They need to release a "Aliens CM: were sorry edition" for all the people they misled. And 20th century fox considers this crap canon?
That said; this is a world full of lies. Don't expect people to tell you everything and be accountable, it's all about MONEY. The sad thing is, this studio will probably flourish for another few years just off of borderlands, and Vigil games who brought us Darksiders is wiped off the face of the planet.
And I was so looking forward to this game and was even so bold as to try and convince some friends to get it. Glad they held off until I did a playthrough...
