‘Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch’ Review | StickSkills

StickSkills said, "Take away the eye-popping presentation and melodic brilliance, and you have a game that doesn’t really do anything novel. Yet, developer Level-5 gets right what so many competitors have failed to accomplish this generation. Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is a JRPG that feels modern – scratching every lingering itch a fan of the genre could have. Each aspect of the gameplay work as a perfect complement to its neighbor, and though it’s unlikely to attract new believers to the genre, it’s a prime example of why games like this are still relevant. I hope Ni No Kuni becomes the next FF, DQ, Persona of the JRPG genre. Since the main concept of the game is 'another world', Level 5 could just introduce a pair of brand new, 'parallel' worlds in their next games.

Completely agree. I'm like 40 hours in and loving it.

Amazing game, no question about that! i have deactivated the map to make it more like a real oldschool JRPG cause i hate linear games where i know where i have to go next. i prefer to find it myself and by doing that i upgrade a lot my characters.

@abzdine
How do you deactivate the map?
I can only turn the guiding star thingy off in the tools settings.

An yes this game is awesome.
I hope it creates a bunch of sequels with similar themes. Like Final Fantasy used to do.

Good game, but with the exception of one or two bosses it was too damn easy.
