Obsidian's Cancelled Aliens: Crucible RPG - New Video Shows Off Some Of The Game's Animations

DSOGaming writes: "Guru3D's member 'pusscifer' has stumbled upon a really interesting video from Obsidian's canceled Aliens RPG game. This video was uploaded Danny Garnett who has worked on Obsidian's title and did some animations for the xenomorphs." (Aliens: Crucible, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Lol, looks like they were using a dog for the crawling animations.

Nice find. Is that all the info you could find on it?

I love Obsidian, RPGs and Aliens, its such a shame this got cancelled.

I really love these kinds of videos, I watched one a while ago that was a proof of concept video for a Road Rash remake/revival, I think its easily found on youtube.

I really which i could say the same thing about Obsidian but since the only decent games they make are spin-off or sequels from great games thank god it got cancelled, another bad Alien game is not what we need right now.

I think there's a good chance it would've been the best of the 3 big Alien games that Sega started back in 2006-ish. But I fully admit to being biased, because I love Obsidian. If nothing else, their writing is top-notch, and they do a great job of acknowledging the player's choices throughout the story. This is my most-wanted cancelled game ever, because I would've LOVED to see what they did with the Alien universe.

I hear what you're saying, but KotOR 2 and Fallout Vegas are considered by some to actually be better games than the originals. The writing in Fallout Vegas is far superior to that in Fallout 3.

I don't have to say the name but everyone els knows what Aliens game should of been canceled as well.

Well hopefully this is not the end of any Alien games cause i would really like to see a good or decent Alien game.

Avp 2010 was a pretty decent alien game. If it weren't for that game, I would've given up on the franchise.

It would've been 10 years + without a good aliens game.

Avp 1999 still remains the scariest:)

Ugh, yet another reason why obsidian should be shut down for good. At least the had the decentcy to cancel this abomination. They should do that with everything they touch because we all know it'll come out unplayable buggy mess and they will blame the world before they think to blame themselves for their mistakes and their lack of skills as developers.

These are def very early animations, I don't understand your hate with the company, it has given us some pretty decent games.
