The Potential for Pokémon on the Wii U

Gamnesia: Just this week the news broke that a new Pokémon title will be coming to the Wii U; however, the announced Pokémon Scramble U is nothing more than the next installment of the downloadable Pokémon Rumble spin-offs.

The franchise has dominated handheld gaming for decades, but gamers still wait for Pokémon to really embrace home console gaming. Six Generations into the series and it really is time because the Wii U is the perfect home console for Pokémon to make an impact on. (Pokemon, Wii U)

I'd love a pokemon Snap, or Stadium title
It's something I know Nintendo's thinking about.

If they put out an open world 'interactive RPG' for Pokemon, where all of the capturing and training had to be done on the handheld, but battling, quests with other trainers, tournaments, special items, berry growing/harvesting, etc., etc. could be done on the console game, I think it would work well enough for all parties involved.

Exactly.
Its prety much certain they wont make a full rpg pokemon game on a home console(Since gamefreak already stated he would keep them to the hand helds).

But a pokemon snap 2 or stadium 3(a proper stadium game...since after stadium 2 they have been pretty lackluster titles) would be great.

yeah but whats sad alot of people who play pokemon are adults, like me. im 25 and i still play it. i dont stop playing a game because its considered kiddy, besides there more value in playing pokemon when out and about than playing some shit phone game. if i like a game i will continue to play until the franchise turns to pot. its the only turn based rpg i like, i usualy don't play turn based i prefer real time combat. and regardless of what some people i know alot of people want a console pokemon game, if theres demand they will sell and look how many 3dsxl nintendo had sold when they anounced x and y there was a spike because people like to play pokemon
