Fuse Finally Looking Like a Formidable Title: New Co-Op Details and Screen Shots

Today, via their website for Fuse, Insomniac, fleshed out more about how working together benefits all and why its looking like Fuse is going to be the Co-Op game that gamers have been looking forward to for a long time; saying in a press release: “In the game, you earn Fuse points that you can redeem for weapon and character upgrades. One of the most efficient ways to do this is by working as a team to discover unique combos to eliminate enemies. Simple example: Shooting through Dalton’s Magshield to take-down an enemy nets both you and Dalton bonus Fuse points. Well, we had a solid number of unique combinations for y’all to discover, but lately we have really fleshed the system out." (Dev, EA, Fuse, Insomniac Games, PS3, Xbox 360)

Fuse's issue was that the initial trailer showed a comedic, buddy-merc vibe which looked really engaging. Now its gone.

People need to stop bitching about the overstrike trailer and take this game for what it is and not what it isn't. If Insomniac didn't show that trailer nobody would be saying that this looks generic.
The game looks fantastic.

I would have liked to see how the original concept panned out, but you're right-- it's evolved into something that still looks exceptionally good. And in watching the trailers, it still has quite a bit of humor to it.

Some people just have issues with change in general. Overstrike looked like Team Fortress and I'm hoping that Fuse can distinguish itself from the rest of the crowd.

To those who don't want to give it a chance, oh well. Your loss if it actually turns out to be a fun game.

It's the same concept, just different aesthetic. Is slight change in aesthetic REALLY that important to people? really? The game actually looks like it could be one of the best co-op games this gen, and it's pissing me off that so many people are dismissing it simply because it isn't cell shaded anymore when this is potentially the co-op game so many people have been asking/waiting for, the concept of the game is still the same, even all the characters are the same. All i know is i'm more than likely getting it because i haven't had a good long lasting coop experience since Uncharted 2

It was never cell shaded though. People are making up a game they never even saw footage from.
