Jetpack Joyride Has Been Downloaded Over 1 Million Times Across PS3 and PS Vita in 2013

It looks like that freemium release of Jetpack Joyride currently available on the PlayStation Network has really paid off for creator Halfbrick and developer Big Ant. Just in 2013, the run-for-your-life title starring Barry Steakfries has been downloaded more than 1 million times on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. It wasn’t mentioned if these numbers include the $3.99 PS Minis version, but hopefully no one bought that anyways.

I can see this as having negative influence on children. I mean, cases of children getting a hold of their parents jetpacks and going joyriding have nearly tripled!

Hopefully half those people supported them by buying something for the game. So they can put more games like this on the Vita.

It turned out to be more entertaining than I thought it would that is for sure, it is an amusing little game. The robot dog makes me laugh.

Still trying to collect all the stuff though but I will get there in due time..

But these are the exact same games that are available in abundance for smart phones and tablets. I thought these types of games were frowned upon by Vita supporters.

Everyone with a PS3 or Vita should download this game. I'm pretty much done with it on PS3. Just one trophy left but I don't care about that one. Now I'm playing it on my Vita. I have it on my Kindle too. It should have a few million downloads on the PS3 at least. It's free. You don't have to spend any money if you don't want to. You can buy coins but I didn't.
