Poetry in Emotion

TheSameCoin take a look at emotion in video games (Dev, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

absolutely wonderful article. we need more like these, but its a shame these are the types of articles that get buried in the endless 'x' console is doomed articles. instead of moaning of the quality of n4g and reply to trolls on any other article why dont the so called gamers come in here and have a chat about the wonderful emotions brought forth by the best entertainment medium in the world.

OT: games have matured greatly over the last decade and i believe thats due how big of a market gaming has become and how many newer developers have sprouted up trying to produce the next big thing.

as the article rightly points out that emotions have always been prevalent throughout gaming history (final fantasy 7, mgs series off the top of my head) there are now many more than ever companies trying to humanize the characters or at the very least bring out the emotion of us the gamers.

my favorites this gen for various reasons are the the souls series for the bleak and dark worlds. journey and flower have also been quite emotional for rather strange reasons that i cant explain even to myself (especially you flower).
david cage's heavy rain was another as well as even the kara tech demo they did which had me flabberghasted!
