GRID 2 Gameplay Trailer

In the first GRID 2 gameplay trailer Road Racing locations are well represented as cars including the BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution, Ford Mustang Mach 1 and Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS SS 1970 race head-to-head on the California Coast. Track Racing is shown at Austria's Red Bull Ring, where the Ariel Atom 3, BAC Mono and KTM X-Bow R go flat out around this historic circuit.

It's insane how good looking racers look on current tech. I can only imagine how realistic they will look and play with the next gen consoles.

I heard they were adding a story mode to the SP? So Codies got time and resources to add an SP but not the cockpit view? :(

They said the lack of cockpit view was not due to time, but memory resources in the game. If they included the cockpit view they would have needed to reduce graphical fidelity and physics calculations to compensate. To them, the reduction of game performance was not worth the addition of cockpit view.

Neither time nor carelessness were an issue. Hardware (processing power and memory) limitations were the issue. Codemasters knew people wanted it, but decided they wanted to have a better looking and better performing game without cockpit view.

Give it a rent maybe and see if you can get into it without the cockpit view.

I just hope this doesn't follow the Dirt 3 model that requires you to buy DLC galore to get the full game.
