Fuse Preview (Strategy Informer)

From Strategyinformer.com: ""In terms of tone Fuse takes the dry humour and lethal teamwork of Mission Impossible and combines that with the near-future setting and experimental weapons of District 9. But Fuse takes place in a uniquely Insomniac universe." Insomniac CEO and Founder Ted Price is careful to enunciate those last nine words. As well he might be, few developers have endured the catty probing Insomniac has ever since it performed a dramatic U-turn, ditching Overstrike in favour of Fuse. Price is quick to wave away concerns the game has since joined the homogenised military-shooter club, and half an hour with the game is enough to suggest there's plenty of quintessential Insomniac in here.

Let's hope there is plenty of quintessential "Insomniac" in here...

Thus far the main word for this transition from Overstrike to Fuse has been "generic"....

I don't like what they have done looking at it from a distance or it's surface, but, it is IG, and thus I will still give it it just do, and will wait and see...

I was hoping for a realistic/toon caricature based driven game, I think IG is one of a very few studios that can still go that route with success....

The game shows signs of being heavily influenced by EA. That worries me. IG has always been an escape from the norm for me, they had there own style, and creativity, it stood out, I wonder if this will still be the case? I hope so.

I still hope we see some of IG's character and personality, and they have not given in to the mighty EA totally...

I still trust in them but am wary...
