What Next Generation Consoles Must Avoid Doing

The next generation is upon us. What must Sony and Microsoft do to prevent the consoles from an early grave? (Dev, Industry, Microsoft, Next-Gen, PS3, PS4, Sony, Wii, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

Next-gen consoles must avoid not offering a free Online MP. Go ahead and have a tiered system with premium paid subscribers, but don't place a cash barrier to basic game content like online MP.

I would like the new consoles to have a new rule which no longer allows developers to put DLC on disc and then charge you for it on the store later.

Constant Sequels & Prequels... I agree with this. I am bored of playing the same games I did at the start of this console cycle. I want some new ones now.

Actually, for the Wii U I want MORE motion control

I loved Red Steel 2, Zelda: SS, and Metroid Prime Trilogy-

I want the next Zelda to have the option for a Skyward Sword set-up.

I recognize some like them but the only thing I like motion controls being used for in Zelda is aiming. The swinging was very lagging and if you did it too fast it didn't register at all. You had to hold it out in whatever direction for a second before striking which made things really annoying for me. They should have had a classic controller or gamecube option which is why I prefer TP over SS despite liking the story/dungeon/bosses a little more in SS. It was just a core mechanic that I found extremely irritating to have forced on me even when flying.

unfortunately there is no way to avoid children playing them, parents must take responsibility and monitor activity on consoles
