The Most Heartbreaking Romances In Gaming

"Great romances are as short as life itself, and these next couples did the best they could and loved as much as they could with the time that they had together. All end in tragedy, yet in that tragedy they found true romance." - JTM Games (Gears of War 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, PS3, Red Dead Redemption, Silent Hill 2, The Darkness, Xbox 360)

Well there was that time when I picked up a hooker in GTA 4 and then realized I didn't have any money left so I shot her in the head and took the money back..

As soon as I saw the heading I was thinking; "they better have The Darkness on that list". Very pleased to see it as the main picture. The Jackie and Jenny moment was the best and most memorable in a game this gen IMO. Anyone who hasn't played The Darkness is missing out IMO. One of the best and most heartbreaking games out there. THAT is how a story should be told. Plus, epic Mike Patton song for the credits. Tomahawk - Captain Midnight.

Thanks for the great read. Looking forward to the N4G communities opinions on it :-)

Big Boss and The Boss. Hands down. A good reason to shed a man tear. And although it might not have been romantic love it was love.

Gears of War? WTF are you kidding me!?!?

And let's be perfectly honest, when you think about GTA4 Niko's love interest wasn't really all that memorable. Did she really evan have a personality besides being the irish guy's sister?
