Resident Evil: Revelations Wii U won't support Wiimote controls
By Jeffrey Matulef
Former 3DS exclusive Resident Evil: Revelations may be coming to consoles, but the Wii U version is currently not slated to include Resi 4's brilliant Wiimote controls, according to Capcom.
(Resident Evil Revelations, Wii U)
That's lame. Didn't get Resident Evil 6 for PS3 because it didn't support move. Though in retrospect, I'm glad I didn't get that game. I'll just get it on steam one day.
Agreed thats lame, I think the Wii U's best feature is its varied controllers. I hate not having options and I can't stand it when devs skip on controller customization. Even Res 4 on Wii was ruined for me because there was no button mapping options. I was excited to aim with the Wiimote but having to fire with (A) the thumb button just ruined it for me, I need to shoot with my trigger finger (B) dammit!
it's not a definitive answer, so don't jump up and down screaming bloody murder just yet. It says it's currently not slated to include them, but things always change..
I certainly hope you're right. RE4 was amazing on the Wii IMO, and not supporting that controller setup feels nothing if not lazy. In that case I just hope the game comes with the ability to play with the same gyro controls the 3DS version had.
Why not Implement both? The ability to play on the gamepad, along with Pro Controller, and for RE4 Wii lovers, the ability to play with the Remote?
I can only speak to my own preference, but when it comes to shooters, first or third person, I enjoyed the Wii Remote to DA. Any game that supports Wii Remote controls suddenly tweaks my interest a bit more.
I think Activision with BO2 for Wii U set a great standard. For allowing so many different ways to play. I hope other devs follow suit..starting with Capcom.
Nintendo should begin bundling Wii Remote+ Pro Controllers with Wii U's as to not fragment the userbase. That way devs aren't forced to use only control output.
Back in the day Nintendo used to have all kinds of stuff in the box; 2 Controllers, a zap gun, and a game!
People call for a price cut, I say just keep the price but add to the value..sorry for the rant.
i hear yuh man . speaking of motion controls, have u passed Metroid Other M? . . this game is fFunnnnnnnn . . and the beauty about this game is, that it is fun in SOO MANY WAYZZ .. i'm in sector 3 right now 0.0
I am not the biggest fan of the wiimote for Wii U games. I think I am going to prefer playing with the gamepad, with the additional features it will incorporate.

But I would much rather the game comes to the WiiU with the Developer using Whatever control scheme they see fit or care to use.
No motion controls fine, you don't want to use the Second screen fine- just stop using it as an excuse to not make games for Nintendo.
And they are not using it as an excuse- so I'm happy with them.
"Wont use Wii controllers"
-Woooo... worst thing ever.
Logic.
