Why Worry About Next-Gen When You Have Upcoming Current-Gen Games Like These?

Most anticipated games for Xbox 360 and PS3 of 2013.

It is easy to forget about the upcoming games for current-gen consoles when all we hear about is the next-gen consoles, but there is still a lot of delicious games out there waiting to be released for the current-gen consoles (BioShock: Infinite, Crysis 3, Gears of War Judgment, God of War: Ascension, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, PS3, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, Tomb Raider, Xbox 360)

I have the biggest expectations on Last of Us but, personally, I cann't wait to put my hands on Castlevania LoS 2, that's the real one I care about in 2013 :)
Lords of shadow was such an amazing experience!

Im not worrying about next gen games. What i am concerned about is the lazy developers and what excuses they will give if tgeir game sucks.

Don't forget Beyond Two Souls.
I just re-watched the E3 trailer today and it blew me away again!

I don't know about anyone else, but I plan on playing GTAV on a next-gen console.

The same reasons for releasing the ps2 and ps3. New console will bring us better games. Take full advantage of the ideas instead of wasting them on old techs. Bring us new features. In my opinion it's stupid thinking otherwise..

Because every generation has to come to an end at some point, and this generation just happens to be longer than usual. All these games come out soon enough anyway, so what's the issue with looking forward and moving forward?

I find it funny that many great games are coming out when next gen reveals are aroun the corner lol

Well, you have to remember that developers have had more time working with this generation of hardware than any generation of the past. It's no wonder why there are so many solid games coming out.

The list does taper off after September, close to the holiday season. Can't wait to hear about all the amazing games that will be coming out with the next gen hardware.

Coincidence? So free September, this gen with Xbox and ps3 will die down just as a new era of gaming begins :)

I won't get in touch for next gen immediately. I will definitely read news about it, but I think it's best I take some time off before I start the next marathon.

Everything is starting to look really dated console-wise, bring on next gen.

Nobody seems to have picked up on the fact that there are NO platform logos in the GTA IV trailers. Who says the game will be for current generation?

Who says? Rockstar, that's who

I was just saying to my wife that this generation still blows me away from a technical standpoint. Never thought I'd see games like God of War 3, Red Dead Redemption, Dead Space etc. The games still look really good to me and games like GTA5, Last of Us, and God of War Ascension only reinforce what I'm thinking.

And it's not like you have to buy a new console on day 1. Waiting a few months might actually be a good move
