The Top 10 Most Overrated Games Ever

Yes, your favorite game is probably on here. So what, want to fight about it? Nah, just kidding; I hate conflict. (PC, PS3, Retro, Xbox 360)

I was all set and ready to give you the benefit of the doubt, but this is really just trolling.

Flamebait.

I gave this article a chance but poor reasoning and lame statements abound in this article. Your reason for putting journey in there was a made up story about the developers ordering a pizza? Really?

Steps to internet success:

1) Choose ten amazing games that shaped the industry for years to come.

2) Call them overrated and post it online.

3) ???

4) Profit...?

And I know what you're thinking... Profits? Yes. You're soaking in them.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i do not agree one bit with HF and L4D being overrated. Both of those game revolutionized the FPS genre.

I get that by today's standards one might think Half Life is nothing special. Unless you played when it was first released.

There was the first time I enabled 3d acceleration and playing Half-life for the first time. Gaming just wasn't the same after that.

This is nothing but a troll article.

"but the reality is that Half-Life is graphically irrelevant, has mediocre combat even for an FPS and has possibly the biggest lame duck protagonist in video game history."

This is by far the dumbest statement ever. Nobody is this stupid and must be a troll. Bad form.

I'm fine with one not liking HL, but to deny its impact on games today tells me that this site is not a site to visit for anything related to the games industry.

At worst this is complete stupidity and at best, a very cheap attempt to get hits. Shameful.

Yeah the whole article is filled with drivel like that. Even if you don't like the game, you have to recognize the innovation it had at the time. And is he really saying the game is overated because the graphics aren't up to date? In that case every game ever made is overated, because they will all be outdated eventually.

I'm usually open to discussion about most things and normally I would avoid puerile offensive comments but to this opinion all I have to say is go f**k yourself you c**t
Allsystemgamer  +   900d ago
Wow...the halo comments are just stupid. Not only did he get the characters wrong but the story is entirely straight forward. This guy is just a hater looking for hits and absolutely false justification....
