Is Lego City: Undercover just a Lego GTA clone or something much more?

NE:

Lego games are very often simple fun, but nothing too innovative. But don't think Lego City: Undercover follows that same Lego formula. It's actually doing a lot of unique things for an open world game. (Grand Theft Auto IV, Lego: City Undercover, Wii U)

haha yes a lot of people never played open world unless it was in a GTA game so they think that is all there is.

This game does seem to have elements of GTA STYLEd open world things going on but it definitely is it's own game.

The Lego games also look cool if I was younger. This is the only one so far that I could see myself getting into.

yeah not a gta clone, it's a much deeper game.

Don't think they will do a Ubisoft with this one!

I think Lego GTA and Lego Metal Gear Solid would be great. Those are two of my dream games.

HOW CAN PEOPLE JUDGE A GAME THAT HAS NOT COME OUT YET

looks funny from the video clips I have seen! I love lego games as they always take the p*ss out of games that are too serious! I love lego as do my children so I am hoping it will be fantastic and one to get alongside pikmin 3

Damn, LEGO is pushing out titles at a feverish pace. You'd have to think they are making money on these things.

GTA? That game where you play as a detective?

maybe by concept but it look a million times more fun then I ever had with GTA, played 5 minutes of forced crime said screw this and played with cheats on and messed around until I got bored like anyone who plays GTA. If this is even remotely like Lego Island then it'll be a blast.....someone needs to do a hd remake of that game.

the game's looking good so far. i'm glad TT's one of those devs who continue to support the Wii U. well, they've always supported multiple platforms and that's what you love about them.

i wouldn't mind this going multiplat if TT plans to, but i just hope they don't do a Ubisoft on this, and just get on with their planned release for the Wii U.

EDIT: just realized that this is a Nintendo-published game in partnership with Warner, so chances are it won't do a Ubisoft after all. but it's possible for timed exclusive only, so there's still hope for PS3 and XBox 360 gamers (naturally published only by WB).
