Assumptions about the hardware of next-gen consoles have been on the rise. With Sony’s Feb 20th event coming up and the expectation of a next-gen console announcement players focus has been solely on what these next-gen consoles will provide that current-gen consoles do not. One thing that all hardcore gamers want more than anything is a healthy amount of games. Companies can push gimmicks and other entertainment options all they want but what the battle really comes down to is the games. Gamers want games; they want a gaming experience that can top what they are currently experiencing so when it comes to the next-gen battle each companies main focus should be on none other than video games themselves.
The freedom to explore large areas, approach objectives in multiple ways, and stumble across amusing distractions will always be an excellent format for video games, but some do it better than others. To celebrate the formula and parse the best from the best, have a look at the best open-world games of all time so far.
General Stability Fixes and Improvements. Upgrade for PC version, and more.
Console players get screwed this time instead of PC. I'll only buy Rockstar Games now on PC because they got too savvy with how much milkage they can get away with.
And I'll wait till it's on sale
And I'll probably wait till private servers are avaliable.
GTA VI looks great but impending 30fps for the next 5 years just doesn't sound all that great these days.
Also take RDR2 out to the back pasture already if you aren't actually gonna give us the update your fans want.
Scumbags
How hard is it to put 60fps on current gen consoles.. damn it would make a massive difference.. so lazy!!
Wish Rockstar would just uncap the frame rate for Ps5 / xsx
It was long rumoured there was a next gen version coming but we're at the half way point and it's still not here.
Not everything has to be a remake the game was and still is phenomenal on PS4 backwards compatibility I'd be happy with the current resolution and fidelity just uncap that frame rate
Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 are both classics, but movement and general interaction sometimes feels like you're possessed by a fridge.
Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…
The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.
Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games
I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
What dont people understand about next-gen consoles not being released in 2013. it is so freaking annoying and ignorant for anyone to think that they will release a console the same year as announcing it. Wheres the hype in that?
I wonder what the next gen has in store for Call of Duty. I truly wonder if it will survive onto the next gen consoles.
Halo 2 remake will be a launch title for Xbox next
Ride to Hell sounds like a and I would like to play. I am just itching to play one something different. So many games are just clones of each other.
I can't wait to see what kind of hardware these new consoles have.
