Me too but i listened to podcasts and everyone was level 49-55 when they beat it. I am already there and i just fjnished glittering grotto. I havnt grinded either except to capture familiars that i wanted and one side quest to get rid of one i didnt. Its perfect. I havnt done post game so i dont know if they take advantage of high level familiars but if it doesnt then that should be the dlc cuz i would love really tough battles that force u to use the right teams and tricks etc. Anyway, this game is so damn good. Why cant FF see that they had it right before?

I'm loving it to, its on the level of The Legend of Zelda, does a lot of things better even.
SlapHappyJesus  +   973d ago
They are two completely different games.

What's the point of the comparison, if you don't mind me asking?

gameplay dont matter, if i say Counter-Strike is on the same level than SF2turbo, its coherent.

...use your head and think about it for 5-6 seconds.

You Mad Ni No Kuni is NEVER coming to the Wii U?
SlapHappyJesus  +   973d ago

That's really not a proper answer to my question. He said that it's on the level of Zelda, but does a lot of things better. If they aren't comparable games, then how does it do anything better by comparison?

Well, I don't even own a WiiU, so . . .

Insightful responses though. Really.

I guess I will just go with my gut suspicion and say that, being that this is N4G, people will find whatever excuse possible to praise anything Sony, being that that is the possible thing to do. Small stabs at the competition all the better.

Nu No Kuni brings me into a Zelda mood, if you play it I'm sure you'll know what I'm talking about.

A refference to another game can be made without getting all anal about it being on another console u know.

ppl are console war paranoid.

Dude, quit acting like I am the one taking things to the next level.

I simply ask for you to elaborate as to what it does better (something you still haven't done, by the way. leading me to think my statements are justified) and I am returned with someone claiming I'm pissed it didn't show up on a system I don't even own, and someone who entirely missed the point.

Again, if you can tell me what it actually does better, please. Until then, it's exactly as I've stated.

Absolutely love the game, for having great gameplay, pleasant orchestral music, nice story, and impressive cell-shaded animation.

I was getting into the counter attacks as well, but it gets to chaotic to even worry about it after you get a full party. I was kinda hoping for dungeons with seals that limited you to a specific character, like DC 1 & 2 did.

I got the Dinoceros...man those things are beasts!!! Took forever to get one though...
Lovable  +   973d ago
Puss in boats are beast! Dinocero's accuracy is absolutely bad.
bakagaijin78  +   973d ago
Just feed it accuracy boosting treats and equip it appropriately to also increase that stat.

When I was going for my last trophy and had to farm materials for alchemy I just used a 3rd tier Dinoceros with Earsplitter and made everyone else do nothing. He pretty much decimated everything in one hit from that trick.
Pintheshadows  +   973d ago
Psyche up and then you'll see his benefit. They do insane amounts of damage. And I also have a Puss in Boats. Best all rounder i've encountered with an excellent attack speed.
lashes2ashes  +   973d ago
Dino is used for special moves only. It removes the need for accuracy. He is so freaking over powered it is insane. Earsplitter just destroys anybody that gets in its way.

I was luckily to kill three of those before the final boss, they gave me almost 10 entire levels.

I was fortunate enough to even catch one of those Toko familiars. Stats wise their evasion is off the charts making them good support characters, but offensively they aren't that good.

For me i have 3 Dinoceros, 1 for each member (2 red & 1 bluish one) & they are almost unstoppable. They have the 'Haymaker' skill that does over 700+ damage to enemies. I equip them with hammers & the nix gashers so that their more accurate. My stats are usually 450+ atk, 350-400 def, 170 accuracy which is sufficient enough. Had no problem with the end boss, the optional bosses & took down the Guardian of the Worlds in about 4-5 mins. My most problem was the final 2 battles in S rank of the Solloseum...man those 2 battles were a pain in the rear.
Lovable  +   973d ago
I couldn't even beat the A rank haha...those three rabbits spam their skills like no end...my characters couldn't keep up haha
izumo_lee  +   973d ago
Oh wait until you get to rank S. The first 2 fights were easy but when you get to the 3rd & final....damn you wanna talk about spamming these 2 do it all the time. Almost gives your guys no time to react sometimes.

Personally the 2 hardest fights in the game cause you get no items to restore lost MP/HP & they are back to back.

Can anyone explain how to get "NICE!" to show up on attacks and defense? Is it just random or is there a technique to it?
nconnors13  +   972d ago
You get "NICE!" when your character attacks an enemy right before their attack. It doesn't always happen, but when it does. It will stop their attack, and that's when you get "NICE!" by attacking.

Anytime you defend/evade a big attack (one that usually has an animation before it) you get a "NICE!"

Thanks for taking the time to reply. That helps!
