Developer Gearbox has focused too much on providing fan service than including any original or creative ideas of its own.
What a letdown! Back to AvP on the Jaguar...
Seriously! That was the best one.
I remember playing that game and being quite scared.
Alien Trilogy was awesome too.
I liked Trilogy as well. And the Rebellion developed AvP on PC. I still remember the first line. 'Wake up marine, you're in some serious s**t'.
Damn, I was excited about this game.
From what I have seen it looks just like aliens vs predators without the best part being the predators. wtf? A 60 dollar expansion pack, it's not November yet is it?
I think they took out some content from what i have heard that the level in the gameplay demo played during E3 2012 has been removed. A game with great potential in the hand of more than one developer became a mess and we haven't heard from Gearbox yet regarding the reviews and bugs with this game??
Sigh, sigh, sigh, The difficulties of getting a game right, tsk. I was REALLY looking forward to this game, so much so, I believe I want to play it, despite the reviews. But yeah, sad; The day when big budget games can't even measure up to smaller budgeted games. P.S; Does anyone know how long is the campaign? I would rent it, breeze through it, then return. I'm tired of spending $60 on 'meh' games. I could find better use of that $60, even if I'm only buying old DLC for past games.
I feel the same way.
That's why I keep my gamefly membership. Used game sales and not getting burnt as much by stinkers which seem to be flooding the market this generation.
You can breeze through it in about 6 hours ... even on the highest difficulty.
Sad. I'm enough of a sucker to still pick this game up at some point, but I was really hoping it would be a decent game.
huge huge let down, this gearbox guys sure know how to hype a game and then under deliver, borderlands you say? I wont comment on that because I have not played it and doubt I will, looks awful...
Disappointing. Did anyone like the last Aliens vs. Predator game? I actually thought it was decent for what it was trying to do.
Yeah I enjoyed the Predator campaign. If they could have expanded upon that with larger levels, smarter ai, and much more polished visuals it would have been great. As it turned out it was just something to kill some time with. Which, considering that this is a video game we are discussing, that statement isn't exactly derogatory.
It is things like this that would make a ban on trade-ins a terrible thing. Imagine being stuck with ACM.
