5 Updates that Saved PlayStation 3

Gaming Future takes a look at 5 PlayStation 3 firmware updates that helped turn around Sony's fortunes after a lacklustre launch. (PS3, Sony)

I actually think it's the downgrades of each newer console that saved the ps3 rather then the firmware updates, strange that the ps3 now is much less capable then the ps3 which released. but we know why they did it.

For me it's the games that saved the ps3, i never had one in the beginning because there was no games i could relate to on it, that changed when killzone 2 came out and i think the overall quality of ps3 games improved alot since killzone 2 came out and for me personally that's what saved the ps3

Being able to access the xmb during a game was big a improvement imo, having to quit the game to check msgs was awful. Which is why I like firmware updates since most of the time they added new features.

It was never in danger!!!!!

WTF?

Since when was the PS3 in danger of disappearing? If anything it is the 360, based on your argument.

the PS3 has now sold more in less time. Does that mean the 360 is in 'danger'? No!

Go away and die!! Now.

Stop writing crap about whch you know nothing!
