In the wake of the announcement that the next Assassin's Creed would feature a new hero and time period, Aaron from Leviathyn.com thinks about what time periods and places he'd like to experience in Assassin's Creed 4.
1901-1918 Imperialistic Europe. WW1 combat in the trenches or nomansland, Bolshevik uprisings in Russia, the Irish War of Independence, crazy turn-of-the century weapons, assassinations in cities like art-deco Paris, industrial Liverpool or Tsarist Moscow. I'd play the shit out of a game like that!
I'd still like to see Victorian London with the twist being that the protagonist is Jack the Ripper.
You want to play through a game to find out that your character is a man that literally painted the walls with the guts of women? That's definitely not creepy.
lol, I'm not quite sure how that would work out..
I was thinking along the lines of a Templar smear campaign against the assassins. The women murdered are actually Templar agents and they are mutilated post mortem by the Templars. This makes the authorities in London search high and low effectively making the assassin 'public enemy number one' and making her task much harder (yes, her) and leading to the designation Jack the Ripper. Afterall, Assassin's Creed likes to deal with conspiracies.
As long as the cities have lots of tall buildings I don't care where it's set. One of the reasons AC3 was boring is that all the buildings were 1 or 2 stores high.
