A Defense of Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified

Javy from DC writes: I am not someone you would classify as a Call of Duty fan. But I’d be fibbing if I said that I hadn’t played through every single game in the series since its conception back in 2003, because they’re still fun. Except for the Call of Duty game for the Vita, apparently: Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified. Metacritic has it listed as the lowest rated Vita release of 2012. But the reviews for this game are just savage, so let me take you on a brief tour. (Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, PS Vita)

No... no.

I don't know how this guy had more fun with this game than with Uncharted... Although I wouldn't exactly say Declassified is the worst game ever made, I still wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase it. Unless of course you're into the Nihilistic experience.

My mind is still blown that this game is still at $50 almost everywhere, I think it should be a PS + freebie at this point... Amazon is the lowest I've seen at $35 - $41 for a new copy.

Also once Killzone: Mercenary comes out, I'm sure the online would pretty much be dead, just like Resistance: Burning Skies died after Declassified came out. So it wouldn't be worth buying unless you know someone who is going to get it with you.

I agree with the author to an extent ... I hate COD & I only purchased this by default ... But I actually enjoyed it for what it is.

It had its faults, and was better than Burning Skies (I enjoyed that also).
I would've given the game a 7/10.

Both of these games were unfairly ripped apart IMO ... when if you actually play it, although average, they were both still enjoyable mechanics & graphics wise.
The biggest let down was the AI & Online ... but they didn't totally ruin the experience like some would lead other consumers to believe.

If you can find either of these titles for $20/$25 or less, pick them up. Id be comfortable recommending them at that price.
