Crytek on Crysis 4: 'Co-op with nanosuits would be awesome'

Crytek has discussed some of the ideas it has for future games in its Crysis series once the company has transitioned into a purely free-to-play business, and confirmed that Crysis 3 will be the last title set within the current storyline. (Crysis 3, Dev, Industry, Next-Gen)

Then why didn't they do co-op in C3 or even C2? It's not a new idea...

Anyway, as I despise F2P games, it seems I won't play any more from theirs.

Whats wrong with F2P games? if it goes with a model like TF2 where you can buy cosmetic items I don't see a problem with it.

Crysis needs a year+ break.

As do many games.

Deadspace, assassins creed.

They have become abit zzzZZZ

I think I understand your thinking, but it's not a break these companies need - if anything they need bigger teams.. why, so they can take a break while working.. two days off here, another day here - all year long...(so basically two people working on the same things so one person is always there working)

These Games already take too long to make.. 2 years if lucky and sometimes longer if not so lucky..

Keep in mind that while for you Deadspace, assassins creed, or Crysis -you may be getting tried of it, there is a flip side..

There are people who are just getting into that game now, the new kids who Crysis 3 is there first Crysis..

Millions of kids, or just new buyers come to these games every month... So why would you take a break from making it... Especially if it's good.

The problem is developer don't think outside of the box until it's too late.. -Because not enough fresh talent to make new ideas, so they stay on the tried and true path... making the same thing over and over.. (The if it ain't broke don't fix it model)

I think what you really want is new animation and physics on a new engine, kind of like how Battlefield brings new tech with better graphics to their same shooter year after year.. they do an amazing job - of reinventing the game every time.

Not a break they need after all its there job right? No its a New ip they need so they can alternate after few years not each year.
Myself am a VERY BIG fan of Crytek and there engine These devs know there buisness they started Far Cry witch is now handled by ubisoft witch runs on old cryengine modified with there engine.
Crytek Do have HomeFront 2 due out if they make everything what was missing from HomeFront 1 its all good.
They have one of the industrys most expensive yet my opinion best looking engine other than frost bite 2 Yet also give out Free SDK And Support the modding community.

FREE TO PLAY AKA F2P
I like the concept of this idea means we as gamers get a free game a chance to get involved as a community and if you wish to buy as a (option) items within the game you can i see this as supporting the devs and supporting the game for fraction of the cost.

Free to play games have never looked so hot as they becomming now this past year and this year If sony can add support to bring this across to ps4 its a win win for both after all look at SOE with there free to play planet side 2.

Could be fun

One guy turns on speed and runs by soldiers grabbing their attention then disappears into the jungle, other guy rains arrows silently from behind.

Or both go into strength mode and play catch with the last survivor.

Ooo, a Crysis football game FINALLY a sports game I might play. Everybody gets NANO SUITS! 1000 M football field/obstacle course, w land mines, attack elephants, Velociraptors and one mean-a$$ turtle (family guy reference) in a nano-suit of course.
