How does a free online game sell itself without giving paying players an advantage? Development studio Grinding Gear Games decided to sell the audience. (Dev, Industry, Path of Exile, PC)

Now this is a game developer that sounds like its worth its weight in gold! Not only did they set up their own crowdfunding source/option, they then pledged to back the project for at least 10+ years while providing a consistent flow of new content! Will certainly be interesting to see how PoE turns out over time!
