Microsoft predictions and wild speculation for 2013

GamesRadar - New consoles brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "wtf used games are blocked?" (Microsoft, Xbox 360, Xbox One)

these rumors are getting tiresome. I understand that we are all anxious for new info, but why not just wait for an official announcement.

These rumors are started by fanboys thats why you never want to get hyped.

Not much info in this lot. Already covered by most previous stories...

About the anti-used games stuff...

What if publishers like EA, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and Activision are demanding this technology be put in place in order to put their games on a console?

I don't think this is console maker driven. It is more likely publisher driven.

And for those that blame the publishers... The publishers that take the risk in funding games have been shut out of used games sales by GameStop. Gamestop should've negotiated with publishers for a cut. They haven't so should you really be blaming?

Each gamer is going to decide for himself if he wants to go the console route. There are some tough choices ahead the way I see it. Gaming in general has gone through changes aready and "changes" won't be stoping for a while. When everythihng calms down and the in flow of profit is steady, gamers will demand more again. Gamers wanting more will slowly build tension again.

This is so exciting!!! I got popcorn ready and I'll buy whatever can stay hyped for (over) a years time.

Really I want yearly consoles released (but that makes them PCs in a way)

Please Sony, stay in business. I love you.
Please MS, stay in business. I love you.

If new games are annouced for MS at E3 2013, MS will need to find a way to release those games by the end of 2014 or I will just be waiting longer than I would hope. MS can do a lot and it's about that time that they do a lot. Sony has kept a large number of people happy by not doing everything (including games) in just a single year. MS can find out what they are good at and then go at that on a world wide scale instead of pleasing one or two countries only. Work with China for an example. Do something now. E3 had better be good MS.

I don't have anything to say for Kinect. Maybe "MEH!"

Wanting Apple, or Samsung, or Valve or Cannon to make a console. (Am I joking or being serious?)

Even funnier would be EA or SEGA to have a go.

I can't afford all of this but boy if I could.
