DG: Jetpack Jinx Review

DG: Jetpack Jinx is a game that we’re all familiar with. You control your cute little character as it jumps up, and up, and up and try to keep it going until he simply cannot go up anymore. The gems you collect as you rise keep you going like a sort of perpetual motion machine, but the fun often turns into frustration. Is it fun to attempt to best your own score by continually making your character jump higher and higher? Sure, in a primitive sort of way, sort of like playing with jacks or climbing a tree. The problem is that, thanks to today’s bloated market, I have no idea if this game was made for children or just for incredibly stoned adults.

GGS Gamer: Mobile games that stand out usually have A) an unusual level of depth and polish, B) a viral social aspect (a la Draw Something for the 17 seconds it was super popular), C) Angry Birds in the title, and/or D) some weird or different hook.

Android-Tapp: JetPack Jinx is a gravity based, accelerometer-controlled ‘jumping’ game where you need to help Jinx get back to his space ship. A similar game in many ways to titles like Hyper Jump, Abduction and Doodle Jump. As with any of these, the aim of the game is to keep going up & up and, whatever you do, don’t fall.
