Mike Kennedy writes, "In 1982, video game consoles dominated the home gaming market with Atari, Intellivision and Colecovision all butting heads for space in the living room. But soon, a new contender for home entertainment dominance would appear; the home computer. Games previously only dreamed of on home consoles of the time were now being made for the earliest gaming computers like the Commodore 64, Apple IIe/c and others. One of the first companies to really start making quality games for these newly conceived home computers was Broderbund. And Choplifter was one of their earliest hits!" (Retro) B/A
