This week might have given us the most eclectic batch of mobile titles that Den of Geek has seen so far in 2013. The overarching theme was definitely robots, and overcoming any kind of adversary to save the world as we know it. We had an iOS port of a fast-paced action arcade classic, a new first-person adventure set in the throes of a dark and lifeless mansion, and even a cutesy iBlast Moki-inspired physics puzzler about finding true love. Our list has something for everyone to enjoy (even you skiers out there!), so stretch your fingers and wipe off your touchscreen, because here is Den of Geek’s Top 5 Mobile Games for the week of February 1st – February 7th:
Epic Games winning its cases against both Apple and Google is shaping the way forward for the future of mobile gaming.
I feel alot of mobile gamers are kids which will at some point probably turn to console or pc. Mobile gaming just doesn't cut it for me.
Epic Games scored a win against Apple as the iPhone's manufacturer is being forced by the European Commission to reinstate Epic's iOS developer account, paving the way for the return of Fortnite to the platform.
Beh. Tim Sweeney is such a pain. He's always trying to force Apple to play by his rules. He should make his own phone, and launch his own app store there and see if he can make it viable. Options are nice, unless they're parasitic, i.e. Epic Games / CCP.
Epic Games' iOS developer account has been terminated as Apple is blocking once again the attempt to bring the Epic Games Store and Fortnite to its devices. The company also really didn't like Tim Sweeney's public criticism on Twitter.
