Coincidentally after Ubisoft announced a six month delay to Rayman Legends they are looking to hire a new Public Relations Manager. Whoever gets the job has a hard six months of fan outrage from this game delay to deal with.
What exactly does the Public Relations Manager do?
you know like how a corperation leader speaks to its employees for what happening to its company structure or something like that? idk lol thats just my guess
A PRM's job is to make sure to give the media the best side of a celebrity/company's face, give the best picture of their client to the public. They also "put off the fire" in case something compromises that image, as for example, a porn vid of a star, or a case of embezzlement.
You know cover for the moronic decisions of management/CEO's. Yeah lets fire the public relations manager because of a management decision. That's like firing the Burger King cashiers because the company's meat procurement got suckered into buying horse meat. They might as well tell everyone to use their money to buy Aliens: Colonial Marines now.
Kay a Public Relation manager is just that. They RELATE to the PUBLIC. That's us. And Ubisoft's stockholders(they're a little more important than us in their eyes). Actually you deal with PR people's work on a daily basis if you check this news site because any news let out comes from the PR people after conferring with upper management. Sooooo they might decide 5 months before a game release to say the game has multiplayer in hopes of getting us more hyped up and increase preorders which in turn makes stockholders happy and more stocks are purchased with the notion that more people are likely to buy this product. PR spreads the news in numerous ways such as magazine spots, videos making announcements on social media(FB/Twitter), and organize events sometimes for the game(s) to be shown off. They also handle other stuff such as telling information about the game to retailers and handling any news between the time of announcement to release that the consumers and retailers should know. That being said this decision came from the highest of high management. The PRM is the middle man..they might decide HOW they're going to release the news but tha doesn't change the fact that the news is just that..fact..they didn't make that choice and Ubisoft was gonna catch s**t even if the PRM decided that everyone who preordered Rayman will receive a free monkey carrying a box of chocolates that all say "We're So Sorry" people would still be furious at this lame brained decision. Ubisoft's management are a bunch of a-holes.
I just can't figure out what they were thinking. Its not like Rayman has been a top seller lately. Maybe in the PS1 era but not now. It will be creamed by other games that month for sure.
